The Honduran Way

Terms of Sale and Use

Last updated: October 3, 2026

These terms apply when you use thehonduranway.com or buy one of our digital books. The site and books are offered by [Business legal name], doing business as The Honduran Way ("we", "us"). By buying or using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not buy or use the site.

1. What you are buying

Our books, including The Honduran Kitchen Cabinet, La Casa Catracha and La Cocina de Dilcia, are digital books in PDF format. Nothing is printed or shipped. You need a phone, tablet or computer that can open a PDF. Page counts, recipe counts and descriptions on the site describe the current edition. We may correct mistakes or improve a book after you buy it; if we publish a corrected edition, you may ask us for it at no charge.

2. Prices and payment

3. Delivery

After payment, your download opens on the next screen and the link is also sent to the email address you gave at checkout. If you do not receive it within an hour (check your spam folder), write to [support email] and we will send the file directly.

4. Our 7-day money-back guarantee

If a book does not earn its place in your kitchen, email [support email] within 7 days of purchase from the address you used (or with your receipt) and we will refund the full price. No reason is required.

5. Your license to use the books

When you buy a book you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for your own household. You may:

You may not resell, share, post, upload, distribute or give away the file or its pages, sell drinks or products using the book's text as your own, or use the content to train artificial-intelligence models, without our written permission. Short quotations in a review are welcome.

6. Our content

The books, the site, the videos and the Doña Dilcia character, including text, images, designs and logos, belong to us and are protected by copyright and trademark law. The traditional recipes themselves belong to Honduran home cooks everywhere; what we own is our writing, measurements, photographs and presentation of them.

7. About Doña Dilcia and AI-generated content

Doña Dilcia is the AI-generated storyteller character of The Honduran Way. Her image and voice are created with artificial intelligence, and her personal life and family stories are fiction. The drinks, recipes and household methods are real Honduran home traditions, written down for American kitchens by The Honduran Way. When the site or books speak in Doña's voice ("I", "my mother"), that is the character speaking.

8. Health, safety and no professional advice

Our books and site share traditional recipes for educational and cultural purposes. They are not medical, nutritional or legal advice. Please read our Disclaimer, which is part of these terms, before making any recipe, especially the fermented drinks.

9. Emails

If you ask for the free sample, you also agree to receive our email letters until you unsubscribe. Receipts and delivery emails are sent for every purchase. See our Privacy Policy for details.

10. Using the site

Please do not misuse the site: no attempts to break its security, scrape it in bulk, send spam through its forms or interfere with other visitors. Links to other sites, such as YouTube, are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

We work hard to make the books accurate and useful, but except for the money-back guarantee above, the site and books are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent the law allows. Results, tastes and savings vary from kitchen to kitchen.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or books, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the book involved. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [State], USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute arises, please write to us first; most problems are solved with one email. Either of us may bring a claim in small-claims court where you live.

14. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect on the date of your purchase applies to that purchase.
